Apple and Pumpkins
We continued our learning about "fall" this week at school.
We explored a recipe as we made applesauce. We made a graph showing whether we liked the applesauce or whether we did not like the taste of it!
We made some of our very own "paper bag" pumpkins. Your child should have taken his/her little pumpkin home. We hope you found a special spot for this treasure!
We had lots of fun opening up pumpkins and talking about what was inside the pumpkin. Some of our friends loved sticking their hand inside the pumpkin and some didn't even want to try! Lot of great describing words were used during this activity!
We worked in 2 groups to carve the pumpkins. Each group had to decide what type of face to put on the jack o'lantern. We counted and used a tally chart to help us figure out what type of eyes, nose and mouth to make.
This is our "Leaf Man", along with our Leaf Man poem. We are exploring rhyming words together and this poem has some rhymes in it. The students are getting really good at identifying rhymes in songs and stories that we read!
