Exploring Shapes

Over the past few weeks, we have been exploring geometric shapes at school.  We began by exploring 2-Dimensional shapes.   We created pictures using 2-dimensional shapes, used geoboards to explore shapes and went on a shape hunt around the school.

We have now moved on to exploring 3-dimensional shapes.  We have focused our learning on cubes, cones, cylinders, spheres and rectangular prisms.

Here we are sorting a variety of 3-dimensional objects brought into school by our class.
