Happy Thanksgiving!

Our students had fun creating turkeys while engaged in a math learning game!

The students had to shake a cup that had two-sided counters inside. The children then had to count how many counters landed red and how many counters landed yellow.  Using these amounts, the students created a turkey with red and yellow feathers.  Some of our students engaged in this math game using the amount of 5, while some of our students used the amount of 10.

It was a great opportunity for the students to see the different ways 5 and 10 can be made (e.g., 2 +3=5, 4+1=5, 5+5=10, 6+4=10).
