MEASURING WORMS!
We are continuing to explore the concept of measurement. We are beginning by measuring length and distance. Each student got to make their very own "measuring worm". Today, we took our math learning to the hallway. We used "measurement" and "estimation" to explore how far our measuring worms would go lined up down the hallway.
Back in the classroom, we used different "non-standard" measuring devices to measure our worms. We used crayons, popsicle sticks, paper clips and cubes. |
Our next exploration in measurement will be exploring
mass and capacity.
