Nursery Rhyme Time

We are busy exploring many different nursery rhymes!  So far, we have read the following rhymes:

The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe

Little Miss Muffet

Humpty Dumpty

Hickory Dickory Dock

Jack and Jill

Following our reading of Humpty Dumpty, we experimented with different building materials. We were challenged to build a wall that would prevent Humpty Dumpty from falling.  We worked in small groups using different materials, such as foam blocks, wooden blocks, connecting cubes and Lego.

It was a great activity to encourage cooperation and problem-solving skills.

This group created a safe place for Humpty Dumpty using the wooden blocks.

Oops...Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!

Using the foam blocks, the children found a special way to keep Humpty Dumpty from falling off the wall.
