A Fun Day At the Apple Orchard
The sun may not have been shining, but our kindergarten friends still had a great trip to Thiessen's Apple Orchard on Tuesday!
Thanks so much to the many parents and grandparents who volunteered and helped provide supervision on this outing. We are excited to continue our learning about apples this week back at school. We will begin our "apple inquiry" by observing how apples change in the baking and drying process. As well, we will be coming up with "I wonder…" statements to further our learning about apples. For example, we have already investigated the "I wonder if apples sink or float"….and the answer is…they float!
Here are lots of photos of our great day at the orchard!
At the very start of our visit, we learned about the life cycle of an apple tree. |
All aboard the wagon to head to the apple orchard! |
We just had to sample the apples as we picked... |
Who is that hiding in the apple orchard? |
