TEDDY BEAR PICNIC

We enjoyed a lovely second last day of school with a teddy bear picnic.  The weather turned around for us and we were able to go outside.  Thanks to the many parents who brought in drinks and snacks.  We have some leftovers, which we will enjoy eating on the last day of school as well.

The children were extremely happy to see Mrs. Allan.  She was definitely the guest of honor, among the teddy bears and other stuffed animal friends!

The children received their memory books today.  It was great to see the children look at their own books and reflect upon events of the past school year.  We hope you will enjoy this little keepsake of your child's year in JK or SK.

This will be the final blog post of the 2013 - 2014 school year.  I hope you have enjoyed looking at the blog to stay up to date on our kindergarten activities.  We look forward to seeing you again in September!  Have a safe and happy summer!

Our Field Trip to the Zehrs Superstore

We had a great final field trip to the Zehrs Superstore.  Thanks so much to the many parents who helped on this trip!  The children were super excited to talk about the trip upon our return to school. Take a look at some highlights of the trip!

Our little chefs were ready to begin!

Important first step - washing your hands before cooking!

Patting the pizza dough!

Grating the cheese and and cutting the pepperoni!

Time to decorate the cupcake!

While waiting for the pizza to cook, we decorated our very own paper pizza!

Time to eat!  Yum!

Next, we began the tour of the store.  We started in the produce section.

Checking out the seafood counter.  We got to touch the lobster!

A visit to the bakery department!

A quick walk in the big fridge freezer!

Learning about our eyes at the optometrist shop!

Scanning items at the cash register!  This was a highlight of the trip!
