Red and Green Holiday Fun Day

We had a great day today as we celebrated our "Red and Green Holiday Fun Day".  Thanks to all the parents who did such a great job helping out.  The children were engaged in a variety of holiday activities including painting candy canes, making reindeer headbands, making reindeer food, reading letters from Santa, playing holiday bingo and enjoying a Smart Board story about a gingerbread boy.

Exploring Battery Power!

This week's Super Science Wednesday was lots of fun as at the children explored the use of batteries to make toys move.  Different than the use of "people power" (as explored last Wednesday), the children talked about and had a "hands-on" opportunity to examine the use of batteries as a source of energy.  Thanks to everyone who brought in a battery powered toy for this great learning opportunity.  We will continue to explore other sources of energy to make toys move in the upcoming weeks.
